Brane Zorman, composer, new media artist and producer composes music for theatre, dance and new media events and performances. In his work, he researches the possibilities of processing, presence, perception, setting, and reinterpretation of sound. Using old and new technologies, he works on the intersection of music, multimedia, and visual space. He develops strategies, techniques, dynamic and interactive interpretation modules; records soundscapes, creates and, with sophisticated programming tools (M4L, PD, Raspberry Pi), fuses electronic and acoustic sound sculptures. He has authored and led projects such as ZVO.ČI.TI so.und.ing, ZVO.ČI.TI so.und.ing DUO, CTR series, Hidden Materia, numerous compositions in spatial sound, soundscape recordings, podcasts, theatre shows and installation. Within the framework of the CONA Institut and in collaboration with the University Botanic Gardens Ljubljana he co-manages Steklenik, a gallery for sound, bioacoustics and art.
