Irena Pivka is an artist and producer. She works on a broad spectrum of artistic creativity and is co-author of the active international project radioCona, which is part of the CONA Institute. In cooperation with the University Botanic Gardens Ljubljana she co-manages Steklenik, a gallery for sound, bioacoustics and art.

In recent years, she has concentrated mainly on projects that highlight the connections between space, sound, cartography and digital tools. Her evolving artistic expressions focus on the preparation of sound-walk performances, which, by means of custom-made transmission tools and sound images, made by walking and listening, establish a new space by reflecting social reality. These performances are created in collaboration with Brane Zorman.
