METS is the Department of Electronic Music and Sound Engineering at Ghedini State Conservatory in Cuneo, Italy. Founded 20 years ago by a former student of Luigi Nono, METS attracts students nationwide for its Bachelor’s and Master’s programmes, thanks to a faculty of established professionals active on the international scene, some of them affiliated with major European institutions, like IRCAM Paris or Tempo Reale Florence. METS has taken part in international projects, festivals and concert venues such as the Venice Biennale, Philharmonie Essen, Manca Nice, Next-Generation @ZKM-Karlsruhe, and many others. It also collaborates with museums for installations related to contemporary artists such as Burri, Fontana, Penone and others.
